Superiority of Imam Mahdi Over Abu Baker and Umer , Let me come up with this by A great scholar of Sunni School of Thought
Mohammad Ibn Sirin was slave of Anas bin Malik. He held a great status in view of Ahlusunnah, as has been mentioned by Muhammad bin Sa'ad, who said
محمد بن سيرين ويكنى أبا بكر مولى أنس بن مالك وكان ثقة مأمونا عاليا رفيعا فقيها إماما كثير العلم ورعا
Muhammad Ibn Sirin was known as Abu Baker he was a slave of Anas bin Malik and He was thiqa Mammun, Highly Knowledgeable , Imam with a lot of knowledge and piety

And Ibn Taimiyya wrote:
ومحمد بن سيرين من أورع الناس في منطقة ومراسيله من أصح المراسيل
Mohammad Ibn Sirin was one of the most pious of the region, and Marasil is the most authentic Marasil.

He believed that Imam Mahdi was superior to Abu Bakar and Umar.
Sheikh Ahmad Abdul Aal al-Tahtahwi writes:
يقول الإمام ابن سيرين : (( أن المهدي خير من أبي بكر و عمر ، قد كان يفضل على بعض الأنبياء )) و قال أيضا : (( يكون في هذه الأمة خليفة لا يفضل عليه أبو بكر و لا عمر ))
رواه ابن أبي شيبة في المصنف بإسناد صحي
Imam Ibn Sirin used to say: "The Mahdi is superior to Abu Bakr and 'Umar., It is even higher than some of the prophets." He also used to say: "In this Ummah there is a Khalifa and Abu Bakr and Umar are not superior to him."
Ibn Abi Shaybah has put in his Musannaf with an authentic chain
Original reference from Ibn Abi Shayba mentions:
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ عَنْ عَوْفٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ يَكُونُ فِي هَذِهِ الأُمَّةِ خَلِيفَةٌ لاَ يُفَضَّلُ عَلَيْهِ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَلاَ عُمَرُ
Rough translation: Narrated to us Abu Usamah from ‘Auf from Muhammad that he said “[Al Mahdi] is the Khalifah for this ummah, he cannot be matched by Abu Bakar and Umar
